At FastPal, we’ve made a clear decision: we want to deliver real value before asking our potential customers to pay for anything. In fact, our goal is to provide so much free value that it outweighs the eventual cost of our paid product.
But let me take a step back.
At the end of 2022, I seriously started working on building a new business. I chose B2B SaaS. From the very beginning, I followed the “classic” startup playbook: build a landing page, create a pitch deck, and try to collect prepayments from potential customers — even though the product didn’t exist yet.
Over the following 2.5 years, I collected money from maybe five companies for such pre-product ideas. That’s one deal every six months.
Today, I feel like I wasted a lot of time.
Yes, I gained experience. And that’s valuable. But the approach itself was flawed. I’ve spoken with many business owners — and honestly, I don’t blame them. I wouldn’t pay for a hypothetical product either. Looking back, I wonder: What was I doing? But back then, I simply didn’t have a better method.
The good news? That’s changed.
I’m someone who loves working hard and pushing forward — and I’ve now found co-founders who feel the same. Jackson, for example, is just as relentless. And because we’re all investing real time and energy into this, a better path has opened up:
We now create value first — completely for free.
We put in the work to help our potential customers so much that it sparks a simple thought in their minds: I want to support this. I want to pay them. Only after we’ve built that trust and delivered results, do we introduce our paid product.
And the best part? I’m confident that we can create value. That’s something I believe in without hesitation.
I’m excited about what’s ahead.
Keep watching us.
